Fellow Auctioneer

Thanks for taking the time and effort to provide me all that information on Pennsbury birds in the upcoming auction.  We've been able to change out schedule, and should be able to get back to Bucks County in time to attend the auction.  Thanks again for your help!   (You guys have a first rate web site.)

Dear Tony,

I can’t tell you how important it is that we met and experienced your liquidation services. The first and most immediate item I wish to thank you for is being reliable. Prior to you being recommended to me I had many other people involved on an as needed basis and was disappointed most of the time because of their lack of responsibility.

You have done what you said you would do and have performed your services to my client’s satisfaction that rave about you and feel they were treated with respect and fairness. Incidentally, having you involved as a third party, we were able to resolve sibling rivalries because of your sensitivities and understanding.

Again, much thanks and I look forward to working with you when the opportunity arise. Please feel free to use me as a reference. It has been a pleasure to get to know you.

Dear Mr. Tenaglia,

It was fortunate for us to have discovered you at a difficult time of grief for our family. Coming in from California for just a few days to settle my brother’s affairs and put him to rest, you were recommended as a reliable resource to provide a crew to liquidate the whole contents of my brother’s home who was an excessive accumulator and restore it to a “broom swept clean” appearance.

After an unexpected heart attack claimed him, my wife, my daughter, and I had to deal with the shock of his passing. His wishes were that we were free to choose any of his worldly possessions, sell off the rest, and donate the proceeds to a list of charities to which he was devoted.

Your efficient and rapid response, respectful manner, and generous purchase offer helped preserve my brothers wishes and allowed us to deal with our grief instead of painfully sorting through his lifetime of collecting in three short days.

Tony, we thank you once again for your decency, understanding solid response.

Hello Tony,

I thank you for taking the burden off my client’s shoulders. They were quite beside themselves as to how to handle the material distribution of their parent’s estate holdings. While they had many differences of opinion as to who would get what, they ultimately relied on your sensible direction and judgment taking your suggestions to heart.

You were generous with your time working with all three of them to help them find some emotional satisfaction beyond their differences; and they all agreed that your sensitivity balanced with your pragmatism helped them come to terms through this transitional period. They respected your artistic and historical perspectives realizing your vast experience in this area, and were well pleased with the total amount you paid them for the entire art collection omitting the pieces they finally chose for themselves.

It was a pleasure to work with you and with my client’s satisfaction as my guide I would be pleased to use your services again should the need arise.

Dear Mr. Tenaglia,

I had never needed someone with your services before and didn’t know what to expect. My family and me thank you for how carefully you handled the estate contents for my Mother and Father in law, as they needed to downsize moving into an adult community. It might have taken a year for us to sort through and catalogue their huge holdings to get some sense of their possible worth. We invited several reputable dealers to make an offer and we selected you because you had far better understanding and offered more overall than any of the others by far. In addition, you were very business like and we appreciated your candidness and the respect you paid to the things my in-laws collected throughout their lifetime together.

The money will help them for sure but your efficient response saved us the hassle of going through their things without really knowing what to do or how to realistically value and convey them.

On behalf of my entire family I was happy to write this letter to you to express our appreciation for your hard work. Please send me a handful of your cards.

Dear Tony,

I would just like to thank you for doing a great job taking care of my Pop Pop’s stuff. It was hard for my sister and me to go through his personal belongings. We felt that we were invading his privacy and we are so thankful that our friend Jennifer had heard of you. You were thorough, fair and very understanding and saved us from the stress of dealing with it. It would be our pleasure to highly recommend you.

Dear Tony,

This letter may be as unusual for you to receive as it is for me to send, but I was thinking of how infrequently anyone acknowledges others when they might have feelings to share.

I have enjoyed participating in your auctions as well as buying from you at Lambertville and Columbus for some time now and often wondered about the people who owned the items I buy. How paralleled their lives were to mine, and what exposure these little treasures had in their original setting. Always wondering why they parted with such lovely things and how fortunate I have been to build such impressive collections over time that has brought me great joy.

Living alone now with my cat Jesse in my comfortable surroundings has given me time to reflect on the values of my life and how I’ll conduct the balance of it while I still enjoy my good health. With my husbands passing and my children elsewhere in the world I have had the opportunity to investigate, “the who and what I am,” and relate to the person I have so long wanted to become. So I have given my son and daughters their favorite things leaving me with a lifetime of gatherings and think it’s time to share my extensive collections with others like me who might need to own them. Indeed, what goes around comes around.

I don’t wonder about the folks who previously shared a time of their life with the things they collected which ultimately became mine because in so many ways they are not unlike me.

And so, I am inviting you to revisit the things you once sold to me offering them once again to make someone else happy. I am in a fortunate position to be able to travel and experience the world, and I will! With an empty bag on my side to tuck away my next irresistible find perhaps in The Far East or in Tibet, on the high southern slopes of the Himalayas with a Sherpa Guide beside me.

I may return at another time when alas, my journey takes me back home. But until then I will lead a poetic life while I wander the world in search of nothing.  Farewell old friend!

Hello Mr. Tony,

I wanted to drop you a note of thanks for taking care of my Mothers possessions right away. When we talked about two years ago we were not ready but now we have to. You did terrific taking care of everything including a clean up crew to make the place look good. I hope your auction makes people happy with my Mom’s things.

Bless you for your good work.
